Solace Pharma raises $15m

Solace Pharmaceuticals said today it raised $15 million and named Pfizer Inc. veteran Eliot Forster as its chief executive.

Solace of Boston seeks to develop innovative therapies for treating chronic pain.

The company said today it raised $15 million in Series A financing in a round co-led by venture capital firms Polaris Venture Partners, with offices in Waltham and Seattle, and InterWest Partners, which has offices in California and Texas, Solace said.
